Item: 25th Hour (Edward Norton, Phillip Seymour Hoffman.  Spike Lee - Director)
Description: This is my favorite movie.  The characters each play a significant role in the life of Montgomery Brogan, the protagonist whose film revolves around his final day before a 6 year prison sentence for possession and distribution of narcotics as an A1 felony.  I won't spoil the movie for those who haven't seen it (What are you waiting for?) but the focal points in the movie involve how the characters, while polar opposites of one another, all end up failing or betraying their instincts and characteristics inherent to their lives (the bad boy is just an insecure kid in the end, the honest guy breaks down and commits sin), and thus have no position to judge the protagonist for his wrong doings.  Try not to over analyze the self reflection scene in the bathroom.  It's one of the most powerful scenes in the movie, but it's quite "grasp"y at straws, much like a shock jock DJ joking about current events.  In any case, definitely a movie worth rotating into your movie nights.

Bonus points for Edward Norton's Plymouth Superbee WITHOUT the spoiler.  Wow.
