Item: Kaiten Zushi (Conveyor Belt Sushi) Restaurants
Description: I'll admit, perhaps Japan isn't the best country for a shellfish allergenic like myself but since I have slowly built up the courage to visit them and select the correct dishes by reading the name of each I have come to love it.  Kaiten zushi is by far the pinnacle Japanese food experience; no other food can be utilized and served on a conveyor belt, victim to open air, surviving multiple rounds and hours of rotation without going spoiled.  There are some surefire winners on the belt usually; the above dish is one of them: Salmon, "fire-grilled" (in reality just burned with a blowtorch) and topped with Daikon radish.  I always pull at least 2 of these right off the bat before hitting the others.  Try to find a decent one, with friendly chefs who chat with you while they slice, dishes as low as 120yen a plate or, as I have found, both.
