Item: Alook/Megane Ichiba 5-series glasses (Matte Black/Marble)
Description: I never thought I'd see the day (pun intended) when I need a pair of glasses, thus fulfilling my "destiny" as a corrective-lenses-wearing Asian. One day I just noticed my inability to read store signs as I approached them on the streets of Kawaramachi in Kyoto; I had to squint and walk faster just to make out the lettering of the signs. While I agree the glasses make me look a little more mature and sophisticated, at the end of the day I would rather not wear them. Not a big fan of the marble accent on the ear rests either, but the matte black is subtle and understated in a non-hipster-esque fashion. Fortunately, the prescription isn't so strong so they are not 100% needed, but driving and going to the theaters won't ever be the same.
