Item: Belkin Wireless G Router
Description: This isn't exactly the best router around on the market these days.  There are others that are running N bandwidth, ones with extremely far ranges, more attractive ones, ones that offer 1 touch connection/disconnection, etc.  The reason I felt inclined to write about this one is that it's one of those products that you can't see yourself not buying.  When I returned to America from Japan in 2007 I moved into a friend's house, who I had met in college.  A wireless router was obviously something that was needed in such a technologically induced living situation (4+ networkable computers, gaming systems, wi-fi gadgets, etc).  This Belkin was at the time the cheapest due to a markdown and sale, so it was a no-brainer.  Fast forward to my return to Osaka and again a wi-fi router was needed.  Lo and behold the Belkin Wireless G Router was found again, this time with 100% Japanese instructions and setup menus.  Being that I had possessed 1+ years of use out of it, the menus were familiar, almost instinctual.  Disregarding the sudden log-offs, the ranging kicking out, the unattractive body and the fact that I can't seem to set up something as simple as WEP security, this is that t-shirt that you always bring around, but you never find yourself wearing.  The coffee tumbler that's missing a cap you always fill up.  The fork with a broken prong you eat your spaghetti with.
